Adding RSS Feeds

To add RSS feeds to your Canvas page, please follow the directions found here. You will also need to create an RSS link for all of the categories that you would like to subscribe to. Please take a look at the table below, and make note of the different categories we have.

RSS Feed Categories

Creating your specialized RSS Feed URL

After you have chosen topics of interest, you will then create a URL following the general format below

https://rss.tramdang.com/category/category1,category2,category3,etc/feed/

where each category will be replaced by the slug found in the table.

Example

Let’s say that I’m interested in subscribing to announcements relevant to engineering, physical sciences, the STEM program, and campus events. My RSS feed URL will be the following:

https://rss.tramdang.com/category/engineering,physical-sciences,stem-program,campus-annoucements/feed

Note

It is not recommended that you subscribe to each category as a separate RSS feed. Individual posts are often cross-listed across multiple categories. By subscribing to each category as a separate RSS feed, you will have duplicate posts on your Canvas Announcements page.
