    NOAA Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship applications open on October 1!

    The scholarship at a glance

     

    Up to $40,000, including:

    §   $9,500 stipend per year for junior and senior year

    §   A 10-week paid internship at a NOAA facility 

    §   Funds for travel and conference participation

    Eligibility:

    §   U.S. citizen

    §   Enrolled full time at an accredited college or university in the United States or U.S. territory as either:

    §    Second year students in a four-year academic program.

    §    Students in a two-year academic program at a community college with plans to transfer to a four-year academic program.

    §    Third year students in a five-year undergraduate program. 

    §   3.0 minimum GPA

    §   Major in NOAA mission field, including but not limited to: 

    §   

    §    atmospheric science, biology, cartography, chemistry, computer science, education, engineering, environmental science, geodesy, geography, marine science, mathematics, meteorology, oceanography, physical science, photogrammetry, physics, etc.
